The Slow Pony was originally designed by an advertising executive, as a custom order, with multiple references to hipster surfing sites and overconfidence in his ability to nose ride. We knew it would look great but had doubts about the ride. What we got was a log; even a work-from-home desk jockey can get his toes over the nose on, with more turning ability and speed than he has U-turning and wheel spinning out of the pre-school parking lot after dropping off his kids. The outline has slightly less nose width, and the wide point is pushed further back than our other models, with a slow constant rocker and a bit of extra tail kick, making it a board that likes small to medium size, steeper surf.
